Llanfair Waterdine and Lloyney lie on either side of the River Teme, the border between England and Wales. Llanfair Waterdine (Llanfair) lies in Shropshire, England whilst Lloyney is in Powys, Wales.

Llanfair is the natural focus of both communities as it has its own village hall in the old school where most events are planned and run. Bought by the community in the early 1960s, it was renamed in 1967 as the Everest Hall in memory of Lord Hunt of Llanfair Waterdine, a local resident,  who led the first successful ascent of Mount Everest.

LLINK (Llanfair and Lloyney Information, News and Knowledge) is the quarterly Newsletter delivered free to all the households in the community thanks to funding from Shropshire Community Action. You can view the latest four issues on the News page.

Publishing on a quarterly basis means that it is often just too late for some information or news, and just too early for other items, so this website will help the community to keep up-to-date. However, the website is more than just an online version of LLINK. It's aim is to include a wide range of information for and about those who live and work here, those who have links here, and those who wish to visit this most beautiful part of Britain.

The site is constantly updated so please visit often. Also, please contact us if you see something you would like to know more about or if you need local information. You can email us at llink@llink.org.uk.
