Llanfair Waterdine Parish Council is charged with  the power to repair and maintain public footpaths and bridle-ways; power to light roads and public places; and the right to be notified of planning applications amongst other matters. Residents should express their concerns about local issues to the Council.
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday every two months (commencing January) at 8.00pm in the Everest Hall. Approved minutes are displayed on the notice-board opposite the Waterdine and on this website.

The unitary authority is Shropshire Council, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, SY2 6ND (0845 6789000) which is responsible for most roads, education and libraries, the collection of council tax, waste collection, planning control, dog fouling and litter and concessionary bus passes amongst other issues. 

Lloyney comes under Beguildy Community Council. It  is charged with  the power to repair and maintain public footpaths and bridle-ways; power to light roads and public places; and the right to be notified of planning applications amongst other matters. Residents should express their concerns about local issues to the Council.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at either Felindre Village Hall or Knucklas Community Centre. 

Powys County Council, County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 5LG (01597 826000) is the unitary authority. As such it deals with most highways, the environment, education, planning applications, waste disposal, collection of council tax, housing and libraries amongst a range of services. The Radnorshire office is situated at The Gwalia, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 6AA (01597 827000).
